The real estate sector demands flexible solutions for complex portfolio and asset management. We spoke with Klaas Bosma, Chief Operating Officer, and Daan Berghmans, Solution Director, about the future of Reasult as part of Planon Real Estate and the launch of the new software product, Planon Real Estate Assets.

What does the acquisition by Planon mean for Reasult?

Klaas Bosma:
The acquisition by Planon marks a new phase for Reasult. While we were primarily focused on financial forecasting for real estate professionals in the Netherlands, we now have the opportunity to do this within a broader platform and in an international market. Reasult is now part of the Planon Real Estate brand, and although the company name Reasult will eventually disappear, our expertise remains. We can now build on the strength and innovation of Planon, enabling us to serve our customers even better.

Does this transition affect your current customers?

Klaas Bosma:
Certainly, but in a positive way. Our existing customers can continue to rely on the same high quality and service they are accustomed to. At the same time, they benefit from the advantages of the broader Planon family, such as new innovations and better integration possibilities. The introduction of Planon Assets is a great example of this.

About five years ago, we decided to completely rebuild the current software solutions for asset management and valuation management. Only in this way could we meet the performance and usability requirements of our customers. It’s fantastic to see that after five years, we’ve achieved this; we are extremely proud of our new portfolio and asset management software.

Can you tell us more about Planon Real Estate Assets?

Daan Berghmans:
Planon Real Estate Assets is a completely newly developed product for portfolio and asset management. It offers an integrated solution for budgeting, acquisition/disposition, scenario analysis, and valuations. With Planon Real Estate Assets, real estate professionals can efficiently manage their portfolios and make important strategic decisions based on real-time data.

What makes Planon Real Estate Assets unique in the market?

Daan Berghmans:
A user can convert their own Excel files, which greatly enhances familiarity. Additionally, the software is designed for speed and simplicity. It easily imports and validates data for a large portfolio, calculates internationally recognized KPIs, and offers the enriched dataset in a powerful reporting and analysis tool. All this happens in a matter of seconds and with an optimal user experience, allowing you to maintain control over your data.

How does this launch align with the broader strategy of Planon Real Estate?

Daan Berghmans:
Planon Real Estate aims to help European real estate investors optimize their entire portfolio. The launch of Planon Assets is an important step in realizing that vision. It not only provides real estate professionals with tools to improve their daily processes but also offers the flexibility to easily configure various jurisdictions and ever-changing regulations themselves.

What can we expect in the future?

Klaas Bosma:
As part of the Planon group, with key stakeholders like Schneider Electric and SAP, we can continue to innovate and grow. We are determined to support our customers in optimizing their real estate portfolios and to provide them with the tools they need to stay ahead in the market. The future looks bright in that regard, and we look forward to continuing this journey with our customers.
